Maintenance program review for a recycled water scheme, Queensland
Operator of a major recycled water scheme, Queensland

Maintenance and Reliability, Engineering Design
2023 to 2024
The challenge
Three advanced water treatment plants, a 200 km pipeline network and its pump stations were being maintained to a program that had grown over years of operation. The operator needed to know whether the maintenance and calibration tasks still matched the failure modes and criticality of the assets, and needed the review signed off by a Registered Professional Engineer.
What we did
FMECA and Reliability Centred Maintenance review of the maintenance and calibration program across the three plants and the network, workshops with operations and maintenance staff, alignment of critical spares and high-voltage maintenance for one of the plants, and RPEQ sign-off of the revised program.
The outcome
A maintenance program that reflects how the assets fail and what matters most, with task changes, frequency changes and spares recommendations loaded for the operator's CMMS.
