About
About Minan Engineering Services
Minan Engineering Services was founded in Brisbane in 2022 by Mehul Patel, a mechanical engineer who had spent the previous 20 years on every side of the engineering table: designing plant for a consultancy, owning it for a water authority, running it for an operator and maintaining it for a miner.
The idea was simple. Asset owners and operators get better advice from someone who has carried the pager, signed the work orders and defended the capital plan than from someone who has only written reports about it. Since 2022 Minan has delivered engineering reviews, maintenance programs, condition assessments, hazard studies and project management across more than 20 sites in Australia, and in 2025 and 2026 asset management work for a wastewater utility in Abu Dhabi, where the firm now holds a professional licence.
We stay small on purpose. One principal engineer leads every engagement, and we bring in specialist partners for electrical, control systems, process and civil work when a job needs them. Clients get flexibility, direct communication and an engineer who integrates with their systems and procedures rather than imposing a method.
How we work
Four things you can hold us to
Independent
We do not sell equipment, software or construction, so our advice is not attached to anything else we want you to buy.
Hands-on
Every job starts in the plant and with the people who run it. The boardroom version comes after, and it reconciles with what the field says.
Evidence-based
Condition, failure history, cost and risk are measured against the standards that apply before we recommend anything.
Embedded
We work inside your CMMS, your project framework and your procedures, on site or remotely, so what we leave behind keeps working after we go.
